a note from the author
My character, Stephen, (pronounced "Stef-fen" not Steven) is a 17th century gentleman who walks a sinister path of deception, lust, sadism and insanity. Stephen has similar traits of a famous three: the Vlad of Tepes (Dracula), Ed Gein and the Marquis De Sade.
Though he dresses impeccably and has the manners of a well bred aristocrat, Stephen lives a solitary life deep in the forest. His home is tattered and partially hidden in the overgrown thickness of the wilderness. Many thorned rose bushes and unruly vines surround his weathered shack, shadowing the windows as if trying to conceal the many secrets that lie beyond the broken glass and slivery walls. A deep hidden cellar hides beneath the squeaky floorboards where the silent screams of the dead keep him awake at night.
Standing a thin six feet tall with corkscrew black curls, his rather gaunt, chiseled features and piercing eyes give him a haunting appearance. His paranoia and psychotic, delusional self-reasoning sets him on a mission of mindless bloody self-rewarding justice and erotic pleasure.
In the midst of his loneliness he keeps a diary of his thoughts and his evil deeds. His disturbed mind teases and torments his soul.
The Stephen Collection is more or less a diary of a madman.
There are many madmen in this world in which we live ...
